TEHA Officers’ Meeting Minutes
August 23rd 2011
Present:
· Carol Kohut, President
· Cristian Teodoridis, Vice President
· Todd Kalusny, Communications Director
· Joe Vassallo, Treasurer
· Chuck Hense, Historian
Minutes:
I. Roll Call and Call to order.
· Call to order: 7:45pm
· Joe Vassallo was introduced as the new TEHA Treasurer. The board welcomes Joe in his new position, which he has been filling since April 2011
· Joe will prepare the financial statement for the Annual Meeting in October and a summary that will be posted on the TEHA website
II. Website Report – Vice President.
· 1 new membership fee received via PayPal
· Photos from previous events were added to the website
· Calendar of upcoming events to be updated online as follows:
Ice Cream Social – September 11, 2011 (1-3pm) at Wudyka residence
Annual Meeting – October 20, 2011 (7pm) at TBD
Halloween Parade – October 31, 2011 (5pm)
· Todd to send the previous newsletters electronically to Cristian, for uploading
· Todd requested an online poll: “What should TEHA do to improve the subdivision?”
III. Newsletter – Communications Director
· Chuck to be profiled in the next newsletter. Chuck is an original resident in the Troy Estates subdivision
· Photos from previous event (including Chris Hagey’s tea demo) will be featured in the newsletter
IV. Historian Update – Historian
· Chuck suggested a survey for Troy residents in order to collect more information, facts and trivia related to Troy Estates
· Chuck will develop the survey and send it to Carol for proofing
· The survey will be distributed alongside the newsletter
V. Treasurer Report – Treasurer
· We collected $5,454 in 2011 dues (up from $3,100 in 2010!)
· TEHA had a $1,566 opening balance
· $2,423 spent to date; remaining significant expenditure this year: boulder etching
VI. President’s Report – President
· Boulder etching: the board will get 2-3 bids (Carol 2 + Cristian 1)
· Prepaid dues statement form to be sent again this year for 2012 membership
· No significant progress made on the bylaws update; Carol will continue to work on this, update to be presented likely after the Annual Meeting
· TEHA will get several snow removal bids (Chuck, Cristian)
