2013 ANNUAL MEETING MINUTES (12-5-13)

Attendance:

6 total- 3 Officers (Carol Kohut, Todd Kaluzny, and Cristian Teodoridis); held at Chris Hagey’s home

Minutes:

I. Treasurer’s Report- Given by Carol Kohut for Joe Vasallo

A. 2013 Budget handed out- $5,000 total

B. 150 Homes (out of 250) paid dues in 2013

C. Started spending for Martin Island in June 2013- 95% done

II. Vice President / Website Report- Cristian Teodoridis

A. Pictures from Halloween Parade are up

B. Budget and Minutes to be posted on website

III. President’s Report- Carol Kohut

A. Discussed Christmas Lights contest- approved prizes for winners

i. 1st place- $50 Somerset Gift card

B. Discussed forming neighborhood watch

i. General consensus was that it was a bad idea, since expensive liability insurance would be needed

C. Discussed International Academy East holding 5K run/walk on Northfield Pkwy. on April 27 (9-10AM)

i. No issues for Troy Estates, since run was not being run inside sub

D. Agreed to print a paper directory of addresses and phone numbers for first time since 2007

i. Fund newsletter with ads for $25 (business card size)

ii. Include resident services in directory

E. Dues collection will start when newsletter goes out

F. Bylaws revision still to come

IV. Islands Update- Chris Hagey

A. Ready to start significant work on Condor Island / Entranceway in 2014

i. Island roughly half size of Martin

B. Chris to Develop master plan of Condor

i. Plan may include Christmas type evergreen tree to be decorated annually

C. Plan to add daylilies and more perennials on Martin Island

i. Ask for donations of daylilies in newsletter

D. After Condor Island is done, then work will start on interior islands
