President's Report: Sidewalk replacement discussed. Green dot means resident pays for sidewalk replacement section, orange dot means City pays. Bob Swartz (Balfour) suggested that some residents may only need sidewalk LIFTING or leveling, not a total concrete replacement. He agreed to be the Contact Person for this project and will call the City (Kurt Bovensiep) to learn what the City has to say about LIFTING and whether the City has any suggestions as to companies that specialize in this type of work.which would be a less expensive option for the homeowner as opposed to replacement costs. Call Bob at 248-643-8512 and leave a message if you wish to get on his list of ;possible sidewalk section LIFTING residents. Give Bob until at least 3/28 to contact the City and get some answers.

If any residents have had curbs or driveways DAMAGED by City trucks/plows, all BOB SHENK at the City at 248-524-3392. Give location and contact information. The City will replace any damaged curbs or uprooted sod.

Discussion of landscaping lighting ensued. Seymour Davis, the contractor who furnished our sprinkling systems on both islands, will work with TEHA on providing low landscape lighting for both islands. Carol has already had contact with Seymour and report on progress with DTE Energy and our lighting needs on both islands.

Chris Hagey, our landscape architect, is asking for HELP soon in uprooting some plants and planting others. She will get back with Carol on a DATE this needs to be done. We will need VOLUNTEERS for this!

We are also actively seeking a new COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR to produce our newsletters (can be posted on-line on our TEHA website). If any resident has some extra time (not much!) and experience with publishing software, please contact Carol! TEHA needs folks to step up and volunteer!

We will also be looking for a TREASURER in 2018 as Joseph Vassallo will be stepping down as our Treasurer. Please think about volunteering for this position. It will not be time-consuming, but will require someone experienced in finance for a non-profit organization.

One Item Not Mentioned at Meeting: the college student, JAKE YORK, who worked for various residents last summer, will return this summer to work various landscaping jobs (weeding mulching, planting, etc.) Please send an EMAIL (NOT A TEXT) to Carol with the following information: your name, address, specific type of work needed, and a home phone/cell number). Carol will print out each request and pass them on to Jake for contact.

LAST ITEM: A huge Thank You to all residents who have responded with DUES in a timely fashion (and extra monies!) so that we can get on with our beautification efforts for our 2 islands and our on-going social programs and Welcome Baskets for new residents!

If you are aware of any NEW residents, please text (248-310-4855) or email (ckohut04@gmail.com) Carol with the ADDRESS of the new resident! A Welcome Basket will be delivered.

Respectfully submitted,

Carol Kohut, President, TEHA
