TEHA Officers Meeting

TEHA officers met for a quarterly meeting at 7 pm Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Carol Kohut's home. Officers present were: Carol Kohut, President; Todd Kaluzny, Communications Director; Cristian Teodoridis, Webmaster and V-P; Joseph Vassallo, Treasurer; Chuck Jensen, Historian - absent: Bernie Lourim, Secretary. The minutes are as follows:

  1. Treasurer's report given by Joseph Vassallo (see FULL report posted 1/31/13 on website under "Financial Reports") to reveal that TEHA is in fine financial shape. Dues are still coming in for 2013.

  2. Officers voted that since TEHA is using Communication Director's xerox machine for our newsletters and flyers (in a cost-cutting move, TEHA officers decided to forego using FedEx and to not print in color), then he (Todd Kaluzny) should be forgiven dues as long as he continues to incur costs for the TEHA newsletter and flyers for paper, ink, and toner.

  3. Carol asked if any officers wished to step down or rotate positions on the board. None volunteered. This option is always open to officers. Discussion did concern using committees to help with projects like the sub's huge landscaping project, as well as a Bylaws committee.

  4. Carol was contacted by a neighboring subdivision whose president wanted to dialogue about our website and events. The sub is Town Acres Neighborhood Association. They were impressed initially with our TEHA website. We exchanged information and ideas.

  5. Dates for 2013 events: officers picked dates for our year's events. All dates are now posted on our website. The next event is our Easter Egg Hunt at Boulan Park. This date will be Saturday, March 30.

  6. The next TEHA newsletter will feature the winner of the Christmas Decorating Contest, Don and Kelly Mukomel on Chatham (1st place).

  7. Officers directed Carol to contact Chris Hagey, our resident landscaping designer, to get together a committee to help with the renewed efforts to complete the work on Martin Island and then to begin on the plan for Condor Island.

  8. Officers also directed Carol to contact some new residents to the sub, some of whom have volunteered their efforts to our sub.

  9. Carol informed the officers that Chris Hagey volunteered her home for our 2013 Annual Meeting in October.

Meeting adjourned at 8 PM.
